Having listened to hundreds of hours of interviews and written documents for 85+ executive clients across the globe within the past 2 years, Rae has a broad expertise as a strategist and executive resume writer. She has worked with thought leaders in communications, energy, global sales, healthcare, marketing, non-profit organizations, tech, transportation, and more. She’s known for articulating the concrete results behind
complex, multi-layered projects and the nuances of outcomes produced under the most challenging of circumstances.
Where Rae excels is helping clients make that next big jump as someone who made a great career leap of her own. Prior to Briefcase Coach, Rae served as a tenure-track assistant professor of Victorian literature at the University of Florida, where she was awarded several university teaching and research awards for her multidisciplinary work.
At Briefcase Coach, she uses 10 years of research and professional mentoring experience to help clients quantify and contextualize their professional histories. Her academic
background taught her how to position the evidence of triumphs and growth in clear, direct language that avoids getting readers lost in jargon. With an equal expertise in web
design, Rae crafts aesthetic as much as content-rich materials to represent clients’ career journeys.
Rae graduated with a PhD in British Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a focus in Victorian literature and literature and science studies, as well
as certification in digital humanities. She is a proud alumna of Wellesley College, where she received a BA double-majoring in English and Chinese Literature and Language.
Outside of her professional work and mentorship, she manages a homestead with her husband and various animal helpers.
