Lindsay Koons is an experienced Industrial-Organizational Psychology practitioner, Principal Consultant, and Cultivate Consulting Group, LLC owner. She has experience across multiple industries and human capital disciplines and a strong project and change management background. Some of her most recent engagements include a focus on leadership development and culture training, along with the build-out of an organization-wide career framework to promote employee development and career mobility.
Her prior experience includes working as a Senior Vice President and Senior People Strategist within the Human Capital Strategy and Insights practice at Truist Financial Corporation. In this role, she was responsible for the development of human capital strategies, including driving initiatives to define Truist’s employment brand and teammate value proposition, teammate listening and insights strategy, talent acquisition transformation, and enhancing HR’s service delivery model.
Lindsay also led SunTrust’s enterprise performance and annual rewards practice. This involved redefining and evolving the performance management practice, executing annual rewards programs, and consulting the business about various performance and rewards needs. Before joining SunTrust, Lindsay was an Organizational Development Consultant for HD Supply (part of the Home Depot), an industrial distributor, where she designed and implemented organizational effectiveness solutions in areas including organizational design, change management, leadership development, team effectiveness, and talent/people initiatives in order to support the growth of the organization and execution of business objectives. Lindsay also has work experience as a Human Capital Consultant focused on Talent Management practice and technology transformations for Baker Tilly, an accounting and advisory firm based in Chicago, Illinois.
Lindsay earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University and a Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She holds Project and Change Management certifications, Six Sigma, and DiSC Profile certifications. Lindsay is a StepUp Women’s Network member whose mission is to propel girls from under-resourced communities to become confident, college-bound, and career-focused. She lives in Greater Atlanta with her husband and two sons and enjoys the outdoors, tennis, and cooking.
