Cathleen Sullivan was a senior leader in sales, marketing, and product development in the educational services industry. She brings a wealth of experience developing vision, marketing
strategy, branding, and content development to help executive clients differentiate themselves in the job market.
Cathleen’s 28-year tenure with Pearson has been hailed as “legendary.” A multi-talented force, she created market-leading products, drove growth in the multi-million dollar science product portfolio, and built momentum in educational technology adoptions across the nation. Her work was instrumental in elevating Pearson to become Canada’s leading publisher in higher education.
Passionate about helping people shape and tell their stories, Cathleen is most proud of launching an ambitious initiative at Pearson to enrich the titles and learning platforms in her
portfolio with Indigenous histories and perspectives. She successfully added Indigenous content to 85% of her frontlist by building connections with Indigenous communities and fostering productive relationships between the Indigenous subject matter experts and author teams.
Outside of Pearson, she has founded a local Toastmasters club, read for the visually impaired and continues to tutor new immigrants in English. Cathleen is an avid cyclist who has participated in cycling tours in North America, Spain, Italy,
and France – so far. As a lifelong learner and supporter of the arts, she regularly attends literature and film festivals and live theater shows and has read The Lord of the Rings Trilogy many times over.
Cathleen holds an Arts degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
